Why We're Different

20 Years of Proven Leadership Experience in the Wireless Industry

When it comes to managing your fleet of mobile devices and your wireless network infrastructure, you want to partner with seasoned, knowledgeable software veterans. AirWatch's executive team has this deep, domain expertise. We have substantial experience building and scaling not just enterprise software solutions, but also mission-critical customer support organizations, implementation methodologies and other related services.

AirWatch's chairman previously established Manhattan Associates (NASDAQ: MANH), a global leader in distribution and logistics solutions. This company was also an early pioneer of wireless technologies, installing some of the first 802.11 handheld devices in large-scale sophisticated distribution centers in the early 1990s. Today, Manhattan Associates has more than 2,200 employees and a global reach.

Manhatten Associates' origins are unique and worth noting—this company was entirely self funded and profitable from the beginning, never relying on any outside capital. In fact, under founder and former CEO and chairman Alan Dabbiere's leadership, Manhattan Associates sustained one of the longest records of growth and profitability as a public company in the software industry's history—third only to Microsoft and Kronos. The company's successful IPO in April 1998 today provides AirWatch with the funding needed to make substantial investments in our R&D.

John Marshall, AirWatch's founder, president and CEO, worked at Manhattan Associates during its early, fast-paced growth. He led large-scale installations and consulting projects for dozens of Fortune 500 clients. This experience, along with senior leadership roles at several Internet-based start ups, helped him recognize the tremendous potential of wireless networks and the rise of the mobile device. This prescient vision led him to establish AirWatch, and he emerged allowed him be an early leader in the mobile device management industry.

A Singular Focus on Scalability

The very nature of distribution and logistic operations require solutions, like Manhattan Associates' software, to be extremely scalable. These solutions constantly process huge databases, containing millions of orders and shipping details.

The demands of fulfilling hundreds, even thousands of orders requires the software to deliver millisecond response times so it can drive conveyors, scanners, diverters and other material handling equipment for some of the world's biggest companies, including Wal-Mart and Home Depot. This type of software also directs the warehouse's work via mobile hand-hand scanners for thousands of concurrent users.

Why is this important? Because it illustrates that we get scalability. Everyday, we leverage this experience, bringing the same singular focus on scalability to the AirWatch solution. While many other mobile device management packages begin to falter when they start tracking several hundred devices, AirWatch shows no signs of limitations.

An example of our scalability can be found in our WiFi hotspot business. Wandering WiFI remains our single largest customer with our Atlanta-based NOC (Network Operations Center) managing more than 6,000 wireless locations, which collectively have 30,000 access points and established 17 million mobile device connections last year alone.

Moving Forward Together

Many providers of Mobile Device Management solutions sell their solution on their Web site, giving nominal attention to after sale support. Once you enter your credit card information and the product is either shipped or downloaded, the vendor may consider the transaction complete. But is it?

What if you need help desk support across five different time zones? What if you require on-site support during or after the implementation? Are other MDM providers there for you? Do they have the right mix of domain expertise, experience and the willingness to jump in the proverbial foxhole with you to solve your most pressing mobility challenges together? AirWatch does and will.

We have an experienced and dedicated staff of installers, trainers and software developers who can go onsite for training and installation when and where you need them. They are also available post-installation, too—24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Your Specific Needs

The AirWatch team can also develop new enhancements to the solution so that it meets your specific needs both today and tomorrow. We also remain highly flexible in our approach to development and the release cycle, working to address emerging industry requirements and technology as well as the priorities and needs of our user ecosystem.

Industry's Broadest Portfolio of Standard Interfaces

Finally, AirWatch will never charge you to write standard interfaces into popular hardware devices or software packages. We commit to always having the industry's broadest portfolio of standard interfaces and remaining completely and utterly hardware agnostic when it comes to mobile devices and network equipment.

As your mobility requirements change and expand, AirWatch will be with you every step of the way, building industry-leading functionality and continuing to expand our first-rate support and professional services team, so you can track, monitor and manage your mobile devices and the people who use them. It's mobility simplified.
