Mobile devices are proliferating in the enterprise at an exponential rate. With the growing number of devices, models and operating systems available, businesses are facing new and complex challenges. Added risks associated with employee-owned devices accessing corporate data, and sensitive information exchanged or stored on mobile devices poses a significant threat to corporate security.
AirWatch Mobile Device Management (MDM) enables businesses to address challenges associated with the mobile devices by taking complex issues and creating simplified, comprehensive and user-friendly solutions without sacrificing security. Our solution provides the ability to quickly enroll devices in your enterprise environment, configure and update device settings over-the-air, enforce security policies and compliance, secure mobile access to corporate resources, and remotely lock and wipe managed devices. With AirWatch, you can manage a diverse fleet of Android, Apple iOS, BlackBerry, Mac OS, Symbian, Windows Mobile and Windows Phone devices from a single console.
The AirWatch console gives visibility into all enrolled corporate, employee-owned and shared devices, whether they are Android, Apple iOS, BlackBerry, Mac OS, Symbian, Windows Mobile or Windows Phone devices. The HTML5, web-based console integrates with existing enterprise systems and can be accessed anytime, anywhere.
Organization groups provide administrators with a way to easily manage users and devices by creating custom role-based groups that mimic their corporate structure. Directory services (AD/LDAP) integration enables you monitor changes in AD/LDAP and automatically sync any changes in AirWatch. AirWatch supports multiple domains within a single organization group and enables each group to have different device profiles, apps and content.
User groups imported from AD/LDAP work with organization groups by acting as an additional filter. With AirWatch, you can leverage existing user groups with a client import or create new groups using a custom query of existing users.
AirWatch’s simple enrollment process provides a consistent agent-based enrollment flow for all major platforms, and allows both administrators and end users to enroll devices. Users are able to navigate to a single URL for all environments, and devices will auto-detect if the agent is installed and will redirect users to the appropriate store to download the AirWatch Agent if needed. User-specific restrictions, apps and content are pushed down to devices automatically upon enrollment.
Profiles allow you to define enterprise settings, policies and restrictions for devices without requiring user interaction. You can assign profiles based on operating system or device ownership type, and deploy to an organization group, user group or individual users. Administrators can also configure profiles to be only available within a geo-fenced area or during a specified time of day. Types of profiles include passcode, restrictions, Wi-Fi, VPN, email, applications and more.
AirWatch authenticates users during enrollment and before granting access to corporate applications and content. AirWatch also supports multi-factor authentication through SAML, token and proxy configuration.
Terms of Use are customizable agreements created by your organization outlining the conditions and policies that apply to the enrolled device and user. Depending on your organization’s policies, users can be prompted to accept the agreement during enrollment and upon login to the App Catalog and Secure Content Locker. AirWatch enables you to maintain multiple versions of a Term of Use and view content of previous versions. As versions are updated, users are prompted to accept the new Terms of Use. View acceptance by an individual user or all users that have not accepted an agreement. AirWatch also supports multiple languages for Terms of Use based on user preferences.
AirWatch dashboards give administrators a quick view into real-time deployment information. From the dashboards, administrators see a high-level graphical view of their deployment and a comprehensive list of enrolled devices. Available dashboards include asset management, device compliance, email management, telecom usage and more.
The AirWatch Hub is a customizable, central portal for fast access to critical information. You can configure the Hub to display the information that is most important to you. The Hub provides both summarized and detailed views, covering enrollment status, device compliance, profiles and apps installed, content downloaded, telecom usage, and email compliance. Administrators can quickly identify important issues and take action from a single location.
AirWatch enables administrators to link to user information from any location in the console where the user names are displayed. Drill down into specific device information, including profiles, apps, content, certificates, restrictions and more installed on a device. You can also view all devices associated with a particular user and a complete event log of administrator and user actions.
Send commands on-demand to devices to request information and perform actions. Commands include device query, clear passcode, send message, lock device, find device, set roaming, remote view, sync device and perform an enterprise or device wipe.
The AirWatch messaging engine empowers corporations to not only send messages via SMS, Email, and push notifications to users, but also to completely customize the message template to meet your requirements. AirWatch provides HTML formatted default email templates and SMS failover to the user’s mobile phone number when no device phone number is found.
AirWatch offers extensive reporting capabilities, providing administrators with actionable, result-driven statistics about their deployment. Over 80 different report templates are available, including device inventory, data usage, and organization group reports. Administrators can also configure custom reports. Prepare reports for distribution on a defined schedule or recurring basis and export in HTML, PDF, or TIFF format.
DataMart provides enterprise customers the ability to export data out to third party business intelligence (BI) solutions. Create snapshots of key data in the DataMart and provide support trend analysis by platform, OS, model, compromised, compliance, status and activity.
Record and view both device and console events to capture detailed information for system monitoring. Customize event filters by event type, severity level and category, and view events including device commands, responses and end-user actions, console logins, and administrator actions and changes.
