AirWatch provides complete mobility management solutions for Windows Mobile devices running Windows CE and Windows Mobile operating systems. As the industry-leading provider of Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) and rugged device management for nearly a decade, AirWatch is committed to supporting your entire Microsoft mobile ecosystem. AirWatch supports Windows CE 5, 6 and 7, as well as Windows Mobile 5.x, 6.1 and 6.5 (Professional/Standard) and Windows Embedded 6.5.
AirWatch allows you to choose from three different methods to enroll devices: side loading, web-based and Scan 2 Connect. During enrollment, users are authenticated using basic or directory services accounts, and devices are automatically configured with the appropriate profiles and settings based on user or device.
Upon enrollment, the AirWatch Diagnostics and AirWatch Application Manager utilities automatically download, along with the AirWatch Agent. AirWatch Diagnostics allows administrators to view AirWatch MDM status and device details including GPS, network and call log, and provides tabs for troubleshooting, starting service, performing a function. With the Application Manager, you can process and install application products over-the-air, report installation status to the admin console and set application policies, such as a required app list.
To secure Windows Mobile devices, AirWatch enables over-the-air authentication using basic, directory service and token-based credentials. Administrators can configure password minimum length, alphanumeric requirements and maximum failed attempts. On-device and external storage encryption can be enabled. You can also set restrictions for Windows File Share access, MMS and SMS messages, Bluetooth and camera. Device access can be prevented automatically when AirWatch MDM is removed.
Profiles enable your users to access corporate email, Wi-Fi and VPN networks. Administrators can also use profiles to enforce security policies including passcode, AirWatch Launcher settings, credential requirements and email management settings. Restrictions, including camera, external storage and on-device encryption restrictions, can also be enforced. Administrators can also configure products to distribute apps, files, operating system upgrades and settings for Windows Mobile devices. Provisioning products can be pushed over-the-air, without user interaction, and can be set to push automatically upon enrollment.
From the admin console, you can view installed applications, app versions and app status on devices. Administrators can enable the silent installation of internal apps, as well as silently remove internal and public apps. You can also set a required app list, app whitelist and app blacklist to ensure only approved applications are installed on the device.
With AirWatch, you can manage Windows Mobile devices from the admin console and communicate with devices in real-time with AirWatch Cloud Messaging (AWCM). From the console, administrators can send commands to devices, including clear passcode, lock device and wipe device, and view real-time asset data and details, including device model, GPS, device errors and the event log. Administrators can also troubleshoot with remote view and control, as well as file and task managers.
From the telecom dashboard in the admin console, administrators can view voice usage, message usage and data usage at-a-glance. AirWatch allows you to detect device roaming status and to disable automatic sync when roaming. You can also view telecom data including current carrier network, network status and cell tower information, and sort data by country and carrier.
